Q: How did you first start playing water polo?

A: I started doing summer swimming when I was 6 and my parents wanted me to be able to stay in shape over the winter so we found water polo and I fell in love with it after 1 practice.

Q: What is it about water polo that made you fall in love with the sport?

A: I love the physicality of the sport as well as being a part of a team.

Q: What is your favourite water polo memory?

A: My favourite tsunami memory is winning bronze at nationals in Montreal with the U19
team!! My favourite trip would definitely have to be in Trinidad and Tobago with the 17u
National team.

Q: What made you want to be a coach?

A: After I stopped playing water polo I took a break from it all but found myself missing
the sport and the environment that we have at tsunami. I would love to hopefully play an
influential part in the development physically and mentally for the kids that im coaching.
I can definitely attribute a huge part of my character to my coaches who have shaped
me throughout my water polo years!

Q: Who was your most influential coach?

A: Raine Paul. Raine coached me for many years on a few different teams. She was
someone you could always rely on. She always showed confidence in my ability but she
was also hard on me during times that I needed to be better. I can confidently attribute a
huge part of the person I am today to Raine.

Q: Who is an athlete you admire?

A: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. He comes across as an amazing leader and teammate while
also fulfilling his role.

Q: What is your favourite quote?

A: “One moment of pain for a lifetime of glory ” - Louis Zamperini
